Alignment control system
|
| The alignment control valve is similar to other
farm equipment values, requiring little maintenance. It features a
durable stainless steel spool to resist any build-up or corrosion. If a
tower should get stuck or seriously misalign, the alignment valve will
bypass hydraulic fluid directly into the return line, stopping the
entire system. This is an important safeguard against structural
damage. In addition, it triggers the control panel to shut-down
watering. |

T-L Drive Systems
|
|
|
Continuous power is delivered to each wheel by a
dependable hydraulic motor, coupled directly to the final drive gear
assembly for a direct transfer of power. T-L hydraulic motors are
specifically engineered for a lifetime of low-speed, high-torque
operation, operating equally well in either direction. |
| T-L drive units are unmatched in strength and
traction. We've devoted millions of hours to the development of our
Planetary Gear Drive, and back each system with an industry-leading
warranty. The Planetary Gear Drive on T-L systems is up to 90 percent
efficient, getting the power to the ground with a minimum of wasted
energy. The continuous movement of T-L's hydrostatic drive and the
Planetary Gear design extends for life. Stress is taken up by three
gears instead of one, so gear dependability is outstanding. The reserve
torque capacity ensures against gear box failure and smooth performance
is assured at both high and low speeds. |
|
|
As a cost-effective option, T-L also offers a Worm
Gear Drive. Like T-L's Planetary Gear Drive, it is the most effcient of
its kind available today. That's because no electric system on the
market today offers continuous movement like hydrostatic drive. And
continuous movement is the key to eliminating the wear and tear of
stop-start electric operation. T-L gears are totally enclosed, coupled
directly to the hydraulic motor, eliminating the need for additional
gear reductions. Conventional U-joints, and other exposed moving parts
are also eliminated to give you years of trouble-free service. Motor
and gear drive are easily accessible in case service is ever required.

Pivot Point
|
|
T-L's tough construction begins with heavy-duty
steel mainline pipe, truss rods and tower structures. All are
galvanized in T-L's own modern facility to ensure uniform quality. The
hot-dip galvanization process chemically seals the steel components for
superior corrosion resistance and longer life. T-L's heavy-gauge
mainline pipe is rolled into varying diameters to give you maximum
water flow, minimum friction loss, and reduced pumping costs. Automatic
drains at every tower empty the system after each use.

Flex Joint
|
 |
T-L irrigation systems feature an extra tough
external flex-joint, designed to withstand uneven and rolling terrain.
The external flex-joint design assures a full flow of water with
minimum pressure loss and turbulence.
|
|
Heavy-duty galvanized rods with truss tabs, notched
before welding, give you uniform stress on the truss rod connection.
One bolt could hold the connection, but T-L uses two bolts to reduce
the shearing force on each bolt and as a back-up in the event one bolt
fails. It's one of the many added features that keeps T-L running
trouble-free longer.
|
| The base
of T-L's rugged tower is constructed of heavy-duty galvanized steel,
angle iron construction for additional structural strength. Standard
heavy-duty tower braces offer additional stability even on rugged
terrain and furrowed conditions. |

Even Water Application
|
|
|
Spoking
. . . a common problem that is difficult to identify from the ground.
View an electric pivot system from the air and the problem becomes very
clear. The start - stop movement of an electric pivot causes uneven
water application. This contributes to uneven yield and the problem
becomes more critical with chemigation. |
| T-L's
hydrostatic drive irrigation systems are engineered for continuous
movement during operation. Continuous movement gives you even water
application in any terrain and reduces wear and tear on your drive
system. |
 |
| Experienced
irrigators like yourself are discovering the T-L advantages . . .
advantages that help you become a better producer. It just makes sense
that continuous movement will water more evenly. |
